#TuesdayTruth Psalms 17:6-7

Psalms 17:6-7

“I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer. Show me the wonders of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes.”

Where do you turn when you are in a time of trouble? Who do you call or visit when you just need to talk? If you are anything like me, you probably have those few family members or friends that you can tell just about anything. Thank goodness for those people who know just what to say or how to be there for you.

If there are people, humans, here on earth that can comfort us, just think how much better it is for us to turn to our Creator?! Our God WILL answer us and with His wondrous “great love” for us, and He will be our refuge.

It is nice to confide in our family/friends, but it is all-comforting to take our troubles to the God of this whole universe and know that He will not only hear us in our times of trouble, but will answer us and save us. Time and again, in Scripture, we are told of His love for us (1 John 3:1), of His good plans for us (Jeremiah 29:11), of His will for our lives (John 6:40, 1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Call on Him. He will hear. He will answer.

He will show us His great love and give us refuge.

We do not have to question it- we just have to have the faith to call on Him.

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for assuring us that we can call out to you any time. Thank you that we know you will answer us! When we get overwhelmed with this life, we can rest and be comforted, knowing that you love us and you care for us. Thank you for this blessed assurance.

We love you Father, Amen.
