#TuesdayTruth Ecclesiastes 3:11

Ecclesiastes 3:11

“He has made everything beautiful in its time.”

Can you look back on a time in your life that was one of those “low points” or hard times, but now see that God was making something beautiful for you? I know I can. Can you also think of a hard time that you went through and can not really see what God was doing just yet? Again, I know I can.

If you are like me, you like to try to understand the logic of things (which sometimes means trying to figure out “what God is up to”). However, His ways are so far above our ways (Isaiah 55:9) that it is often beyond our comprehension. This is much easier said than done, but we can strive to be a people who can accept that there are things/events/situations/circumstances that we just will not understand on this side of heaven…and that’s ok.

This is where faith comes in. If you believe that He is good always (Psalms 106:1), if you believe that He has good plans for you (Jeremiah 29:11), if you believe that He works ALL things for your good (Romans 8:28), then you KNOW that He is making your story beautiful…even in the midst of the storms of life, even in the “miry clay” (Psalms 40:2).

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for making EVERYTHING beautiful in its time. Thank you that your timing is SO MUCH better than our timing. Thank you that we are not called to understand every event in life on this earth, but just to trust you…and we do trust you, Father, because you are good.

We love you Father, Amen.
